Let me sleep

Let me sleep
Let me sleep here
and rest my beaten soul
I have got darkened feet from my thread on earth
I have walked with the feeble minded that rule over the niger bay
and I have seen their ways and it is not worth my wealth
So just let me sleep I say upon this bridge of decay
in this decade of carbon waste

let me sleep
In the silence of this traffic
on this bedding of junk
for my sleep shall be of peace
cause my soul is at ease
hand shielding heat from my boarded head
which radiate on my thin tin walls of freedom
on this bridge of decay in this decade of carbon waste

So just let me sleep I say
as the wall paper of my world
resembles some kind of prison yard of  success
I shall pull them down in my sleep
and turn them into rubbles but build upon them again
for when they fall I shall lose nothing
not a sleep, not my soul, nor my hair not a thing I say

so just let me sleep
on this bridge of decay in this decade of carbon waste
on the right side of my art where justice is formed
for when I wake nothing shall remain
of the feeble mindedness
of those that rule over the niger bay
So just let me sleep I say let me sleep my friends
